We anticipate one million children in the Sahel region could die
within months without immediate humanitarian assistance. The children are
suffering from severe malnutrition. Many more are at risk of stunting and
irreversible, permanent brain damage and disability as a result of malnutrition.
The situation in the Sahel is not a famine, but a very severe nutrition crisis.
With your donation, UMACA can save an estimated 95% of severely malnourished
children by giving applying the funds to Mali based organizations set up to
provide specialized therapeutic feeding and treatment.
